1 month old

Can you believe Carly is already 1 month old?!  Where has the time gone?  She is really beginning to change. So much more alert these days and if you are lucky you'll even catch a slight smile. (It's probably just gas but I say it's a real smile). We are now out of preemie diapers and into the newborn size.  Yay!!

We have been working on tummy time to gain control of that bobble head and she absolutely hates it!  She has fought tummy time so much that she has made herself roll over!

Aubree adores Carly and is a little momma to her.  If Carly cries she will  come let me know by saying "momma car-car cry, shhhhhh"  she enjoys holding her and just loving on her.   She will even open her diaper to check if she needs to be changed.

3 weeks old

It's amazing how fast time goes by. Carly is now 3 weeks old.  She is much more alert during the day now but still wants to eat every one to two hours day and night.  Aubree has been amazing with her.  She enjoys helping with baths, diapers, holding and kissing her and now that we have introduced the bottle she loves to help feed her. She even speaks to Carly in this sweet little voice.

I couldn't ask for anything better at this moment.  I get to spend my days with my two beautiful amazing daughters who lite up my world.  I cannot get enough of those sweet smiles and hugs.  Yes we have challenging days but I would not trade these moments for anything in the world.  My amazing husband and two girls is all I need.

2 weeks old

Carly had her 2 week check up today.   She is now 6 lbs 14 oz and doing great.  At just 2 weeks old she is gaining strength in her neck to try and hold up her head. We will now begin "tummy time" to help her continue to strengthen those muscles.  She has also become a lot more alert these last few days looking around at all the different and exciting new things.

Now that her umbilical cord has fallen off and is healing we were able to give her first bath to her.  She hated it but Aubree enjoyed helping out.

Aubree's First Tricycle!!!

Daddy came home with a pink tricycle for Aubree.   She hasn't quite gotten it down yet but knows that her feet should be on the pedals for it to move.  She will be showing us all up in just a few weeks.

Carly Mae Jones was born Thursday,  February 13, 2014 at 4:12 am weighing 6 lbs 8.6 oz and 20 inches long. She is beautiful and doing great!  Aubree is a wonderful BIG sister. She loves helping mommy get the diapers and always kissing Carly.  She calls her Car-Car.
